[job offer] PhD (or postdoc) position: Microscope Design for Deep Brain Imaging

Judkewitz Lab, Charité and Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany

Join our group of physicists, neuroscientists, engineers and biologists who develop new optical techniques to study brain function. The lab is located at the Charité and Humboldt university campus in the center of Berlin.

Main activities:

  • Develop cutting-edge deep-tissue imaging techniques based on three-photon microscopy, wavefront shaping and adaptive optics,
  • Collaborate with biologists to adapt these optical techniques for neuroscience applications.

Your profile:

  • Background in physics, engineering, photonics and/or biomedical imaging,
  • Experience or strong interest in one or more of the following: optical design, microscopy, holography, adaptive optics,
  • Programming experience in MATLAB and/or Python.

Application is open until the position is filled. Please email a brief statement of your research interests (< 1/2 page), attaching your CV (with contact information for references) and university transcripts. Please include "[deepimage2020]" in the email subject and mention where you saw this ad. You can find more information about our lab as well as contact details at http://www.jlab.berlin.
